Disgothique live: The Pirate Song

ok usually this song isn’t my favourite except I really really like this version and think it went really well this show. SO. watch it.

ALso, the pirate thing: it’s loosely based on the character of Pirate Jenny in the Threepenny Opera. Or just a female pirate in general. Idk. it could be a metaphor maybe. I wrote it sitting on a huge stack of rocks over the sea and the sea was really rough. So it’s possibly the most literal song I’ve written? It was literally just describing the things I could see, at first. Then it goes a bit crazy.
